No matter how many times I go to D.C., I’m always amazed and in awe about the history that is here. It’s really important to me as a veteran, because that’s what I fought for. And when I saw this VFW-SVA Fellowship, I knew I had to be a part of it. I look around at all these great people that I happen to be in the presence of, and I learn from them every single day. And I think that everybody should try and apply for the fellowship that’s interested in advocacy. It’s a way to give back to your community, it’s to make things better for future generations of veterans. The VFW and SVA are very important and vital to help veterans succeed in their communities, and not just get jobs, get careers and things that they love. Because veterans are a great investment and we always give back to our community.
