UB’s Social Impact Fellows Program 2019

[Blue overlay reading “Social Impact Fellows, UB University at Buffalo School of Social Work”] [Josh Friedman, MSW Student speaking] Getting my masters here I really want to make an impact through the community in a deeper sense. [Delaney Voorheis, MSW speaking] I chose to participate in this fellowship because I thought that it was a really unique opportunity to work with students of other disciplines, to learn about social innovation, and to work on a problem in the Buffalo community. [Dean Nancy Smyth speaking] The idea of bringing together different perspectives and creating change across disciplines is something that the society and people understand is needed. [Josh Friedman speaking] The difference in perspective leads to a difference in the work. So this really gave me the opportunity to come in, make an impact and a lasting impact that I can see into the future.
