  1. A true genius serves humanity without any interest just like Einstein and many others. Steven Jobs is not a genius. He is a boss trying to make more money for his company which is totally understandable yet far from genius.

I just bought an 2nd hand iPad air 1 (as i couldn't afford a brandNew one ) for my higher studies and this is the first video Which popped up on youtube.

  3. The 4754 people that thumbs downed:
Ha you can't stop me now!
    Steve Jobs:
You are using a Mac Book, you idiot. YOU DARE OPPOSE ME MORTAL

  4. The hero of my youth. Hope he was ready to meet his Maker… "for what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Mark 8:36

  5. The prophet Jeremiah wrote: (17:9) “The heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate.Who can know it?”
If we “follow our heart” exclusively, it is like following the advice of a desperate and treacherous person. Would you want to do this? Hopefully not. I think I know the gist of what Mr. Jobs was stating. Blindly following your heart is not a wise course of action, and not likely what he was suggesting.

  6. "No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

When I was young, there was an amazing publication called The Whole Earth Catalog, which was one of the bibles of my generation. It was created by a fellow named Stewart Brand not far from here in Menlo Park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. This was in the late 1960s, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters, scissors and Polaroid cameras. It was sort of like Google in paperback form, 35 years before Google came along: It was idealistic, and overflowing with neat tools and great notions.

Stewart and his team put out several issues of The Whole Earth Catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you.

    Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.

    Thank you all very much"

  7. Read his memoir and his life is like 10 season Netflix series with plot twists that came out of a writers imaginative work of art.

  8. People laughing when he said "dropping out was the best decision I ever made in my life" knowing full well that it's Steve Jobs of Apple, Inc. speaking to them….lol

  9. Today is his 8th death anniversary.miss you genius.Love you.Everybody in this country should know how to program a computer because it teaches you how to think-Steve

  10. I bought apple products (not to impress people) because I was moved by his speech (until the rest of my life, I will remember it) . How many struggles he had, just to reach that goal.

  11. Every time, I need some sources of genuine massive inspiration or keep pushing more towards my self-reliant that I just lean on this Steve Jobs' powerful speech (one of admire my world-class entrepreneurs). Much appreciate. Respect Steve P. Jobs 🙏🏾

  12. This is the most powerful speech I have heard and it is one I continue to return to. The theme of 'connecting the dots' holds so much truth for my life and has helped me to get through some terribly dark places. They became the inspiration for my book, something I never thought possible and an example of just how true his words are for me.

    Stay young. Stay foolish.

  13. What a shame! What a great loss. Steve Jobs is not only an inspiration but this speech really opens up your eyes. How much suffering he went through but he didn’t give up and his perseverance have my deepest respect.

  14. I totally regret studying in brick and mortar and incurring 400k in student loans, HR people attribute no difference between the degree free online or if you spent 6 or 7 years actually attending physical human taught classes at a 45k per year private university supposedly ranked top 100.

  15. To anyone who comes here for motivation to carry on doing something : you didn't understand the whole point of his speech and why it is touching.

Needing motivation means that you're not following your heart, as he explains it so well. Because when you "truly love" what you do, you don't need no motivation, you work without feeling like it's work.

Stop worshiping the capitalist concept of idols and wanting to become like them, live your own story, and the only way to do so is to follow your heart, to let your intuition lead you to the places you deeply want to go, as intuition is the fruit of the depths of your soul.

  16. Dont waste your time being trapped by dogma or by anyones opinions. Do what makes you happy and fulfilled not what others want for you because your time is limited and you are not living that time for others but for your own self. Choose the path you want to follow and fight for it in order to achieve it. 🙂
