The first time I walked into the RCM it was new, exciting and full of opportunity. Walking into the RCM there’s an immediate sense of history and warmth. The first time I walked through the doors I looked around I felt this feeling of prestige and thought I really want to study here The first time I came into the RCM was for an audition and I remember seeing the beautiful mosaic on the floor. The first time I came to the Royal College of Music I came to a place where music can develop and grow a place for musical heritage and culture to really show the best of itself. The first time I came to the Royal College of Music I thought ‘wow’ – I was walking down the steps of the Royal Albert Hall thinking ‘am I really going to work in that beautiful building?’ I couldn’t believe my luck. The first time I walked into RCM I was really inspired I felt a really magical energy and everything just felt so welcoming and really wonderful. The first time I came to the Royal College of Music I was really scared because it was my audition, but everyone on the reception was so friendly and smiley and helpful. Walking through the doors of the Royal College of Music you got a real sense of the history here and that it’s quite a special place. The first time I came to the RCM was probably the first day that I started here, which was quite daunting
but actually quite impressive as well. The fact of walking through those doors, which so many people have walked through, and just the the ambience of the place was so incredible.
