Recently Vantage assembled a volunteer team to help out at the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana. I spoke with Michal Hale with Vantage’s HR Department about what volunteering does for the employees. “We love coming out, supporting the community and really getting together. It really helps some of our departments come together, help team building, working together as a company too, but we really just love giving back to the community.” I also spoke with Sarah Hoffman, the Communications Director for the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana. “Today we have employees from Vantage Health Plan that are coming in to volunteer to help us pack Christmas food boxes for children, families, and seniors in Northeast Louisiana. The Food Bank relies on the generosity of the community to come in and volunteer. We have thousands of people that come in and volunteer every year to pack bags, boxes, sort food, and just help us feed people in our community. If someone wants to get involved, they can go to our website, FoodBankNELA.org and fill out the volunteer application, or they can call us at 318-322-3567.” Reporting for Affinity TV, I’m Phillip Brooks.
